iImmune congratulates Prof. Dr. Elvira Mass for obtaining one of the most prestigious German Awards for young scientists!
We are happy to congratulate Prof. Elvira Mass for obtainig the Paul-Ehrlich-and-Ludwig-Darmstaedter-Award for Young Scientists 2021. Professor Mass was recruited to FAU as an associate professor in 2019 to strengthen the Elite master program intergrated immunology, which is part of the Elite network of Bavaria. After having been awarded the Heinz-Maier Leibnitz award by the DFG in 2020, Prof. Mass now obtained the Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Award for her groundbreaking work on the origin and role of tissue macrophages in organ development, leading to a better understanding about the role of immune cells in the context of developmental biology. We wish her all the best for her career as a W2/W3 professor at the University of Bonn.
